Barfield Staff Conquer the Three Peaks Challenge

Huge congratulations to our amazing team of staff who completed the National Three Peaks Challenge in just 23 hours and 50 minutes over the weekend of 25th April!

Mr Gibling, Mr Lydall, Mr FitzGerald, and Miss Jordan tackled Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon – with Mr Ray Taylor providing brilliant support along the way. Despite tough conditions and very little sleep, the team showed incredible determination and teamwork. They managed to climb all three peaks in 23 hrs and 55 mins! What an amazing achievement.

Miss Jordan summed up the experience:
“It was brutal, no doubt about it, but the views from the top of each peak were breathtaking, and the camaraderie between the team kept me going. My legs ache like crazy, but the memories we made, the laughter, the sheer determination – those are things I'll cherish forever. What an incredible, unforgettable experience.”

The pupils’ then had a turn, where the children took on their own mini challenges in PE, swimming, and games lessons to help raise funds. for out Performing Arts Centre refurbishment.
